Lime Plasters
Available in 15 litre tubs (25kgs) one third, two thirds and one tonne bags.
Renders contain more lime than Mortars so as to be stickier for general Internal and External plasterwork & Lath & Plaster
INTERNAL / EXTERNAL BASE COATS
Lime Putty base coat (render / scratch coat / backing coat / base coat) for lime plastering, Internal & External. It can be left as a finish coat if a textured finish is required.
Our non-hydraulic lime renders are Backing Mortar with Fibre (BMF) & Backing Mortar with Hair (BMH)
BMF (render) BM2 with fibres for properties upto Grade 2 listed Mix ratio 2.5: 1 aggregate 4mm
BMH (render) BM2 with Hair for Grade 2* & Grade 1 listed. Mix ratio 2.5: 1 aggregate 4mm
BM2 (mortar) as a Float Coat (2nd coat / levelling)prior to finishing, so no fibres. Mix ratio 3:1 aggregate 4mm
(BM2 optional, BMF/H can float in most cases)
EXTERNAL TOP COAT
BM5 (mortar) as a Finish Coat for external top-coat Mix ratio 3:1 Grade 2 mm
Used primarily as a Brick laying mortar, excellent solution for External smooth lime finishes
INTERNAL TOP COAT
TRP2 (plaster) Lime Top Coat mix ratio 2:1 Grade 0.5 mm
A fine lime plaster for marble smooth finishes.
