Painting Lime Plasters
LIMEWASH
Made by mixing lime putty with water. Cures to a milky white. Requires two coats, maybe more depending on background.
Sold in 16 litre tubs. Each tub will cover 45m² at one coat.
16 litre tub natural limewash £25.00 plus VAT.
Coloured lime wash can be created by the customer by adding pigments to the limewash. The pigments cost from £15.50 per litre pot plus VAT.
ST ASTIER LIME PAINT
Based on hydraulic lime, this paint comes in a range of colours. A litre of paint will cover approximately 9m² at one coat, depending on background. Two or more coats will be required.
The range starts at £8.75 plus VAT for a 2.5 litre pot and £17.50 plus VAT for a 5 litre pot.
EARTHBORN CLAYPAINT
Highly breathable and washable. A range of colours. Coverage 5-8m² at one coat. May need thinned coat first if surface is very porous. Slight texture.
The range starts at £17.74 for 2.5 litres of white (£31.03 for 5 litres) and at £19.06 for 2.5 litres coloured (£33.74 for 5 litres). All prices plus VAT.
EARTHBORN EMULSION
As Claypaint but smooth and with less covering power. Approximately 10% cheaper than Claypaint.
